Minimally invasive cardiac surgery

For best care our experts are there to help you

What is minimally invasive cardiac surgery?

In minimally invasive cardiac surgery, your cardiac surgeon will proceed with a heart surgery through small incisions in the right side of your chest, unlike the open-heart surgery. In this type of heart surgery, your cardiac surgeon may have a better view of some parts of your heart than in open-heart surgery. Similar to any open-heart surgery, in a minimally invasive cardiac surgery your cardiac surgeon will stop your heart temporarily and divert blood flow from your heart  using a heart-lung bypass machine.
